Easy Subway Ride to Downtown
One of Riverdale's great features is its easy acess to transit. The proximity of the Bloor-Danforth line makes this an ideal location for commuters who need easy access to both the east and west ends of the city. Residents can hop on trains and buses from several stations on the Bloor-Danforth line to quickly head downtown, to the east end, or connect with the Yonge/University line to head north and south. Easy access to the Don Valley Parkway and the Gardiner make it easy for motorists to head in to, or out, of the city.
Five stations on the Bloor-Danforth line serve this neighbourhood: Broadview, Chester, Pape, Donlands and Greenwood. Commuters living further away from Danforth have options too: North/South Routes from each of these stations link to streetcars travelling east and west to downtown along Queen, Dundas and Gerard. The 83 Jones bus, leaving Donlands station, provides access to Leslie St. and Commissioners Road.
